I have been going to this casino regularly since it opened 10 years ago, and untill recently I had enjoyed decent comps and freeplay in spite of 8/5 machines being the highest vp. Recent changes in the players club, however, have made it impossiblefor me to continue: $400 coin in to earn 1 comp dollar for video poker! Really?! No thank you! End of an era. The three playable machines were removed upon the death of a long time daily player who insisted on the 99.79 pay table. Playable VP in the St. Louis area greatly deminished. Jaycee5353

Been staying at this hotel for years and always enjoyed the VP and the comps that came with it. I've noticed though that for the past several years the video poker pay tables have gone down with a reduction in the progressive machines including a very nice bank of DW which paid out progressives from four of a kind on up, (it was great). Those machines are long gone and it takes even more play to earn points, (went from a point per dollar of pay to ten dollars to earn a point). Now the promotions I get are for two nights comped down from the three I seemed to get on a regular basis. Not only that but it seems everything there is more expensive and geared more toward making an even bigger profit for the casino. I realize that the Vegas casinos suffered as a result of the recent recession but it seems that they are trying to make it up by getting tighter with the bottom line. I enjoy visiting Vegas but it's becoming more like the rest of corporate America. Too bad. (These comments in no way should reflect poorly on the employees of the Mirage. I have always been treated with excellent service and courtesy by them and feel this will continue.) team3

My friend invited me to go. I had a great time with her. But the casino was a different story the Fitz that is. I stayed for two and one half days. My members card that you put in each machine did not work wright. I had to shove it in 5 times and some times 8 before the machine I was playing on would take it. My room card would not work had to get maid to let me in the room. But she was nice and made me describe something in room before she would let me in. I ask about my card for the machines and was told I was not properly putting it in wright. So every machine I sat down to play I had to shove that card in so many times I felt like I was a loser before I got the card to work. I got my friend to try it and it done same with her. Next was P... A.. Pore Bartender. I'm on my second day there shoving card in trying to make best of it. There was no waitress coming around and I'm ready for a drink. I get up go to bar and order a drink. It seems to p... the lady at the bar off but she gives me my drink. I'm back at machine shoving my card in a million times it seems and playing games. There was never a waitress that came over to the area I was playing in. I go back to bar to get a drink . My third visit to bar, because of no waitress the lady at the bar told me she would have to charge me for my drink because you did not get them if you had not been playing games. OMG she upset me, I was on my second day playing. She embarrassed me so bad. I just shook my head ok and walked off. Found out later that the waitress that was suppose to be waiting on the side I was on, did not show up for work and they were short handed. No excuse for lady at bar! She was horrible. I did not like having to get up every time I wanted a drink , and go to bar but I had not choice, she was a buT.. I did not want to cause a seen!!!! OR I would have given her a piece of my mind. So My experience at the Fitz for the first time was not a good one. I had several friends that were waiting for me to go check it out before they would go, and when I told them about my experience they decide to go somewhere else. I was really disappointed with the quality of the member cards and the bartender. NOTHING WORKED LIKE IT SHOULD. donnakling
