Borgata seems to be cutting back on comp dollars again which determines when you reach Black Label status which requires $1000 comp dollars earned in a rolling twelve-month period. With the recent cut in comp dollars, Black Label will require well in excess of $300,000 and perhaps $400,000 if they stick with the current comp dollar rate of .25%. Slot dollars seem to be about .15% of coin-in.

The banks that were located in the non-smoking area are no longer there. There are two new banks which are back to back located in their "video poker" area which is left of the buffet when you exit -- they're a few rows after their spinpoker games and basically adjacent to their triple play joker pokers.

The Comps will show up on the player card display when you press the "promo" button. Everyday is a new start (I do not know exactly what time breaks the day, but it is likely 6 AM). Your comp dollars will start to change when you accrue $5 that day. Then it will continue to accrue and you can watch the dollars change. I find it helps to pull and reinsert your card to see the changes. If you do not accrue $5, you will not receive anything. The Cashback or slot dollars are similar in that you have to accrue $5 at the regular CB rate before you get anything, including the 4X. The CB will not show up on the card display until a future visit (I do not know how long, but it is at least 24 hours). It can be viewed on one of the kiosks, however, the day it is earned as "future slot dollars". Again, you will see nothing until you have accumulated $5 at the regular rate. If you are eligible for the 4X, you will all of a sudden see $20 or more as future slot dollars during this promotion. I find that the next day I see the future slot dollars from the previous day until I earn $5 that day. Then my future slot dollars start to grow. There is a relationship between normal slot dollars and comp dollars for each machine. When you know what it is for the machine you are playing, you can predict your future CB from the changing comp dollars. VP varies but I find most of the machines that I play give about two comp dollars for every dollar of regular CB. That means that until I see $10 comp dollars, I probably have no future CB. The relationship varies on different VP games. Some progressives appears to accrue at a lower rate for everything. Slots as always, accrue more rapidly in all areas.

The Borgata has high-speed access for free if you have your own network cable and laptop -- just plug it into the blue jack on the wall near the desk in your room, and configure your network accordingly. At the Borgata you can also access the net through LodgeNet. It isn't connected through your PC, though -- just through the "WebTV" type interface, which is pretty horrible, but works in a pinch if you have html access to email.
