The best machines I have found are located close to the back entrance (away from buffet) to high limit room. There are four right outside the entrance and six or eight in a circle right inside the entrance. Many of dollar games have close to a 98% payback. The best is probably a version of 9/5 DDB that pays 400 for four of a kind (5-k) with an ace kicker. These machines have a $2 (75-45) version of NSUD. At $5 the machines have full pay NSUD and JOB. Right inside the back entrance to casino (on way to hotel) there are about 16 fifty cent 8-5 DDB machines linked together that have fast moving progressives on all four of a kind and the royal. It does not take much for these to become the best play in house.

Here is an update on the machines: 9/6 JOB – (1) $100 slant-top in high-limit Area 8/5 BP – (2) $25 slant-tops in high-limit Area 7/5 BP – (2) $5 slant-tops in high-limit Area 6/5 JOB Progressives - .25 machines scattered throughout the casino- rarely positive (takes $2.00 or 8-coins to reach the progressive level) 7/5 & 8/5 JOB Progressives - .50 and 1.00 machines scattered throughout the casino, both take $4.00 to reach the progressive level (8-coins at .50 and 4-coins at 1.00) Each bank of the progressives had different royal amounts. Be sure to check around. Amazingly, people were playing machines in the same areas with widely different royal amounts. We found one 7/5 JOB with an $8200 progressive. If I calculated that correctly it was just under 100% (remember it only takes $4 and not $5 to qualify for the progressive). My friend and I lost $400 each chasing it over the one night we stayed. We both put on around 1,000 tier- points. These machines are very annoying (and slow), because you have to press "Accept Win" (or "Double-Up") after each win. Found what was listed as 8/5 BP in .25 upright (GameKing I believe), but was not the usual BP. The only difference in BP and JOB on this machine was 150 coins for any four-of-a-kind on BP. People were playing 8/5 JOB instead of BP, which made no sense. The BP didn't have any of the normal four-of-a-kind breakdowns, only an increase to 150. The hotel was very nice and the café breakfast was excellent. We didn't eat anywhere else. The diamond lounge had food after 3:00 on weekdays and we nibbled there. I'm Diamond status and requested a comped room from Dean Haney. His email address is [email protected]. A friend referred him to me. He was great! Came down and met us that evening (he was working 6pm-3am). He even tried to get me a comped room in Vegas during the NCAA basketball final four weekend, when I only had paid room offers.

The $1 9-6 DDB machines have been downgraded to 9-5. They are incorrectly listed as 10-6 DB in Data base. The only 10-6 DB that ever existed were .25 and they are also gone. Everything they put in is worse than what they took out and it was bad enough to start with.

to 4000) Base Reward Credits in the year to get Platinum status and 10,000 to get Diamond status. Comps don't expire for 6 months, and are banked indefinitely as long as one point is earned every 6 months. Also, comp points can be used at any Harrah's property. Most Marketing offers aren't deducted from your Reward Credit balance. Hosts can over-ride the new Rewards Program to take care of "good" players. Hosts can't give discretionary comps until all reward credits are used up.

In the high-limit area, they have a (2) $5 7/5 BP, (2) $25 8/5 BP, and (1) $100 9/6 JOB. All are slant-tops near the high-limit cage. Also, earning 2000 base credit in a single day gets you diamond status. An employee told me that they are opening a poker room sometime after the first of the year. I will send another update when I can confirm.

Mostly video reel slots called "Lock'n'Roll" where you spin, select what to hold, and spin again. Blackjack is at a table with a "dealer" attendant who oversees video at each seat and takes/pays bets.

I _believe_ that these machines are class II. There is something incrediably odd about the way they perform, look, etc. You don't see the "normal" IGT platform games. The blackjack "cards" are computer generated on a little screen in front of you. So you must depend on what appears to be a less than random number generator (i guess this is part of the Class II/Bingo thing?). No double after split, no resplit. Seven Sisters food is weak though service was good. The buffet is hit or miss (mostly miss).

I haven't been since 2001, but from what I hear it hasn't gotten any better. What video poker they did have was very short pay JOB on a progressive. It was quarter machines, but you had to play 8-quarters to get the progressive.

They have a row of .25 10/6 (98.9) double bonus machines in front of Total Rewards booth. These are new TITO machines. (probably around 10 of them) They have many very old 8/5 JOB machines with progressives that sometime become positive. These are .25, .50 and 1.00 machines. Both the .50 and 1.00 take $4.00 for jackpot to become available. They also have many deuces wild with progressive jackpots but the base game is usually around 95% so they seldom become positive. Hotel is very nice.

Beautiful casino, but no full pay video poker. JoB is 8/5. Deuces wild is short pay however I hit a royal on them in January. No live games. Buffet is NOT good so save your money.

1 Base Reward Credit is earned for every $5 coin-in on reel slot machines ($10 video poker), and Bonus Reward Credits are awarded based on the type of machine played. On average you get 2 Bonus Credits and 1 Base Credit for every $10 of VP coin-in (probably fewer Bonus Credits for positive VP machines). It takes 3,000 (increased
