I'm an out of towner and had stayed at RR twice before-- on my third visit, I made a reservation with a senior host for 2 nights in a signature suite, comped based upon my previous play. My reservation request and reply from the host were via email. I called the VIP number to confirm....few weeks later I show up and they have me reserved for a regular room-- I said I should be in a signature suite and the check in clerk at VIP reservations says "no you aren't". I pull out my email and they STILL WOULD NOT HONOR my reservation request. They call the senior host- I tell him about how he confirmed 2 nights for the suite and HE WOULD NOT HONOR my reservation-- but they'd give me the second night for "only" $250! I was disgusted and should have walked out but I was hosting some friends so I took the room. Not a great way to start one's trip. A few other notes regarding RR: -The VIP check in clerks are cold, and sometimes downright rude. -RR has a coffee and beverage bar in the VIP check in lounge. Every time we went down for coffee, the urn would be empty. I would notify the VIP check in people and they'd say "It is? Go to starbucks upstairs. It will take about an hour or so for them to bring more." An hour? Are they growing the coffee beans??? -NONE of the jacuzzis by the pool were working. -The pool entrance near the food court electronic door did not work so you had to hike it to another entrance to get in. -The rates for a cabana were outrageous-- $350 for a Friday morning! The place was empty-- maybe 2 or 3 being used. Why charge so much? -Service at many of the restaurants were mediocre at best. People who work at Terra Rossa have got to be some of the most unpleasant around. -Even drink service was bad. Seems like the same waitress had to work half the casino floor.

Discretionary comps are very difficult to get, especially for locals.

My wife and I put about $27K through the 8/5 BP progressives in 2 days (we were not staying there) and a host comped us some food and told us to contact him the next time we are coming and he would set us up with free rooms. We have since received offers from both Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch for 2 free nights almost anytime as well as tournament offers.
