Defined as one over the probability of receiving a certain hand or payout. In video poker, the Cycle is therefore expressed in units of hands (or deals). Perhaps because of this, the term Cycle is commonly misused and many players erroneously expect to receive a certain hand once per cycle. A cycle represents the number hands it will take on average for a certain outcome. A player may of course receive any number of such hands in a cycle (from 0 to the cycle length).
