I. Point System
$1 Coin-in = 1 Point for mostly Slots
$2 Coin-in = 1 Point for Video Poker
$1 Comp for every 500 points: 20 basis points (0.20%) for Slots / 10 basis points (0.10%) for VP
Comps cannot be used for (a) free play and (b) tips. Comps are mostly used for food, rooms, gift shop, and even gas at the mini mart.
II. Multiple Point Days
Cache Creek does run periodic multiple point days such as 8X for slots in August and recently had 10X for both slots and video poker this past December. I've been told by high tier club members that they regularly get 2X days via mailers during the week.
III. Mailers
Cash Back, match-play, room offers, multiplier days, bounce backs or free play offers (or welfare checks): I am not aware of cash back for video poker. After speaking with a number of high tier players, they are happy with the mailers that may include free play, match-play, etc.
IV. Other Information
On Wednesdays, Cache Creek awards $20 in free play to those individuals who has served or are serving in the military -- you must provide a military ID to be awarded the free play.
V. Video Poker Inventory
As a general comment, the best games can be found in the high limit room starting at $5. These single-line games can be found on the multi-game slant tops with games such as 8/5 Bonus Poker (99.17%), 9/6 Jacks or Better (99.54%), NSUD (99.73%), etc. Btw, the 99.92% Joker Wild game has been gone for years. That makes the 99.80% Triple Bonus the best game in that machine.
Full pay games such as single-line 9/6 DDB (98.98%) can be found in $0.50 denomination on a slant top multigame in the non-smoking area right next to the poker room. $1 9/6 JOB and $1 9/6 DDB can be found in the Royal Zone Blitz so please check individual machines.
There is one bank of Progressive video poker and with the top 3 hands (aka 3-way progressives) being progressive jackpots. The machine is in dollars ($1.00) and it is a 8/5 DDB. Based on what I have observed, the meter movement on the RF is twice the rate for the SF and Quad Aces with kicker. I was avised that the meter movement was supposed to be set at 12.50 basis points (0.1250%) for the STFL and quad aces with kicker so that would make the RF meter movement at 25 basis points (0.25%). This bank is located near the gift shop.
Royal Zone -- this area pays a bonus for dealt or sequential royals or dealt sequential royals:
"WITH MAX BET
All natural Royals paid 2X
All sequential Royals paid 5X
All natural sequential Royals paid 10X"
Royal Zone Blitz Promo
In a nutshell, you get 1 ticket for every royal flush at max coins while playing at the royal zone. At the end of the month, all the tickets are placed in the drum and $10,000 in prizes are awarded. Disclaimer, the Slot Supervisor tells me Cache Creek monitors the tickets, the winners, etc to ensure an honest drawing. If you are planning to stuff the drum, be warned as they will be watching you.
High Limit VP Promo
From time to time, the high limit will offer a drawing awarding extra prizes. It takes a winning amount that triggers a W-2 to be awarded a ticket. This promo is not as consistent as the Royal Zone Blitz Promo. Again, the Cache Creek management monitors these drawings.
VI. Summary
Cache Creek has the best VP inventory in Northern California and based on informal feedback from many players, Cache Creek will provide "fair" rewards and mailers based on coin-in or action.

The casino is de-emphasizing table games and stressing slots and it is
aggressively updating its 2,400 slot inventory. Here are my recent
observations:
1) Lots of FP machines have been removed, especially the old stand-alone IGT
GameKing uprights that had $1 JOB, $1 NSUD, etc
2) I can't find many of the games in the VPfree inventory. The best game is $5
or higher Triple Bonus Poker Plus 800-100-[240-120-50]-9-5-4-3-1-1 JOB and they
have 4 machines.
3) $1 coin-in is 1 point and 500 points is $1 in comps or 20 basis points for
comps. No cash back.
4) Club member ship is based on 12-months as opposed to 6 months in other
casinos. You start off with entry level and 30,000 points gets you Pearl,
250,000 points gets you Ruby and 700,000 points get you Jade. You get great
service at the Jade level based on the feedback I get.
5) The casino is also expanding (again!). No new slots, but another parking
garage and a 2,000+ event center. Another hotel may be in the works.
6) Non-smoking session in the back has NSDU (99.7%), Bonus Poker (99.6%), and
9/6 JOB (99.5%).

I want to share about IGT's multi-game slots. You really have to check the machines because some have 9/6 JOB or NSUD while some will only offer it at the higher denominations, if available. Some banks have Bonus Poker in $0.50 or $1.00 at 8/5 but with all quads paying 35 for 1 with a payback of 99.66% while another bank has the all quads at 30 for $1 with payback of 98.48% for the same denomination, respectively.

Single line $1.00 9/6 DDB in North casino, maybe about 8 machines a couple rows in from slot tournament banks near hotel entrance. Before that, 9/6 was only on triple play dollar machines against wall next to entrance in high limit area. Other standard VP games on the same machines appear to have similar payback percentages. Other than River Rock in the beautiful Alexander Valley, I haven't seen DDB 9/6 on single line machines at ANY indian casinos until these. There are DDB multiplay 9-5 20 or 25 cent DDB on several banks in casino including All Star machines. No progressives worth playing unless you want to play 7/5 or 6/5 -- fugget it unless the jackpot is in the stratosphere, not likely. The buffet is pretty darn good, comparable to Thunder Valley but pricier. Ask for the senior discount if you qualify or look old enough :-) Good upscale Chinese food near the east entrance.

Cache Creek has expanded their casino, adding a large poker room, many slots and VP, and a sports bar. The new area is located between the gift shop and the high-limit slots and is the 'north casino'. There are many IGT stand-ups and slants, multi-game multi-denom, I checked the JoB paytables on 1 machine on each row, the stand-ups have 9/6 in $1, 9/5 in 50c, 25c, 20c, slants are all short pay. This is an upgrade as they had no $1 9/6 before. There are two 'multi-hand' video blackjack machines (you must play 7 hands) 10c, 25c, 50c denom, I didn't write down the rules on this but it was H17 noDAS.

Best game countinues to be 9/6 JOB in the high-limit room -- 2 IGT machines from $5 to $25 -- a bit too rich for me. Comps is $1 for every $500 points or 0.20%; and it appears every $1 in action is 1 point. There are 3 Reward Levels: At Pearl, you need 30,000 points within 12 months before getting anything in the mail At Ruby, you need 250,000 points within 12 months and the added benefits (worth getting IMO) are 5% discount at all restuarants and VIP window. At Jade, you need 700,000 points within 12 months and the added benefits (worth getting IMO) are 10% discount on all resturants, reserved parking, and special invites to Jade members. Thunder Valley has a much better comp program and a food court to boot; mailers start at 7,500 of action in a 6 month period. Downside at TV is the tight - location and game details are unknown. Now about the bad experience: I was playing video poker while my friend was playing BJ. He had the misfortune of dropping a sizeable amount in a short time (in the four figures) and when he asked for a comp, the host declined him a comp. Generally, the casino would comp 10% of actual losses, but not at Cache Creek.
Sep, 2005
Cache Creek has 9/6 JOB in the high-limit area. 9/5 JOB was still available in the slant-tops in MG/MD 10, 20, 25, 50 cent, $1, and $2.
