Player's Club Update
Aug, 2010
The casino is de-emphasizing table games and stressing slots and it is aggressively updating its 2,400 slot inventory. Here are my recent observations:
1) Lots of FP machines have been removed, especially the old stand-alone IGT GameKing uprights that had $1 JOB, $1 NSUD, etc
2) I can't find many of the games in the VPfree inventory. The best game is $5 or higher Triple Bonus Poker Plus 800-100-[240-120-50]-9-5-4-3-1-1 JOB and they have 4 machines.
3) $1 coin-in is 1 point and 500 points is $1 in comps or 20 basis points for comps. No cash back.
4) Club member ship is based on 12-months as opposed to 6 months in other casinos. You start off with entry level and 30,000 points gets you Pearl, 250,000 points gets you Ruby and 700,000 points get you Jade. You get great service at the Jade level based on the feedback I get.
5) The casino is also expanding (again!). No new slots, but another parking garage and a 2,000+ event center. Another hotel may be in the works.
6) Non-smoking session in the back has NSDU (99.7%), Bonus Poker (99.6%), and 9/6 JOB (99.5%).

I want to share about IGT's multi-game slots. You really have to check the machines because some have 9/6 JOB or NSUD while some will only offer it at the higher denominations, if available. Some banks have Bonus Poker in $0.50 or $1.00 at 8/5 but with all quads paying 35 for 1 with a payback of 99.66% while another bank has the all quads at 30 for $1 with payback of 98.48% for the same denomination, respectively.

Single line $1.00 9/6 DDB in North casino, maybe about 8 machines a couple rows in from slot tournament banks near hotel entrance. Before that, 9/6 was only on triple play dollar machines against wall next to entrance in high limit area. Other standard VP games on the same machines appear to have similar payback percentages. Other than River Rock in the beautiful Alexander Valley, I haven't seen DDB 9/6 on single line machines at ANY indian casinos until these. There are DDB multiplay 9-5 20 or 25 cent DDB on several banks in casino including All Star machines. No progressives worth playing unless you want to play 7/5 or 6/5 -- fugget it unless the jackpot is in the stratosphere, not likely. The buffet is pretty darn good, comparable to Thunder Valley but pricier. Ask for the senior discount if you qualify or look old enough :-) Good upscale Chinese food near the east entrance.

Cache Creek has expanded their casino, adding a large poker room, many slots and VP, and a sports bar. The new area is located between the gift shop and the high-limit slots and is the 'north casino'. There are many IGT stand-ups and slants, multi-game multi-denom, I checked the JoB paytables on 1 machine on each row, the stand-ups have 9/6 in $1, 9/5 in 50c, 25c, 20c, slants are all short pay. This is an upgrade as they had no $1 9/6 before. There are two 'multi-hand' video blackjack machines (you must play 7 hands) 10c, 25c, 50c denom, I didn't write down the rules on this but it was H17 noDAS.

Best game countinues to be 9/6 JOB in the high-limit room -- 2 IGT machines from $5 to $25 -- a bit too rich for me. Comps is $1 for every $500 points or 0.20%; and it appears every $1 in action is 1 point. There are 3 Reward Levels: At Pearl, you need 30,000 points within 12 months before getting anything in the mail At Ruby, you need 250,000 points within 12 months and the added benefits (worth getting IMO) are 5% discount at all restuarants and VIP window. At Jade, you need 700,000 points within 12 months and the added benefits (worth getting IMO) are 10% discount on all resturants, reserved parking, and special invites to Jade members. Thunder Valley has a much better comp program and a food court to boot; mailers start at 7,500 of action in a 6 month period. Downside at TV is the tight - location and game details are unknown. Now about the bad experience: I was playing video poker while my friend was playing BJ. He had the misfortune of dropping a sizeable amount in a short time (in the four figures) and when he asked for a comp, the host declined him a comp. Generally, the casino would comp 10% of actual losses, but not at Cache Creek.

Cache Creek has 9/6 JOB in the high-limit area. 9/5 JOB was still available in the slant-tops in MG/MD 10, 20, 25, 50 cent, $1, and $2.
