Cherokee Nation Entertainment is now operating the Gold Strike Tunica. It was previously operated by MGM Resorts. This is not the same entity as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians that owns the Cherokee Casinos in North Carolina.

Best game still seems to be 2 9/5 JOB 98.39% slant top machines back by the Atrium Cafe available in 25 cent 50 cent or $1.00. You have to look for them (but why would you?) as they have several other pay scales also that are much worse

Report of 9/5 JoB upstairs confirmed and looks to be the best game currently available. Available at 25c, 50c, $1.

There are no longer any VP machines downstairs near hotel lobby entrance. They could have been moved to another location. Best I found was 9/5 JoB on the slant tops outside the poker room

In addition to listed 9/6 DDB downstairs near hotel lobby entrance there is also 9/5 DDB (all denoms) downstairs & upstairs near poker-room.

Well, the MGM-Mirage suits who moved in a month ago and fired the Mandalay upper level managers have made their first moves. All promotions have been cut off and the cashback on VP has been cut in half to 0.25%, although I guess they left the double point Tuesday policy in place; I didn't play to test it out. Slot cashback was not changed.

Gold Strike and Fitzgeralds both have 9/6 JOB. Fitz has about 6 machines upstairs on the second floor. Gold Strike has them at both bars and a rounder on the right half of the casino. Gold Strike is more upscale than Fitz. Gold Strike also has 0.5% cashback. Fitz is much better in their marketing offers. Plus, if you care about smoke, Fitzgeralds and Gold Strike are both pretty bad. Both apparently overflow smokers into nonsmoking rooms, so staying in a clean room is not easy, but Fitz rooms stink worse and rival a bad Motel 6 for accomodations. At least Gold Strike rooms are basically industry standard. Soome have nice views, too. I think the hosts at Gold Strike can make life quite comfortable for a quarter player. I can't really comment of those at Fitz.

Gold Strike's $1/$2 NSUD with 1% CB on Tuesdays was removed about two weeks ago. Eight floor machines were moved to the WSOP area and given NSUD as a downgrade from 3x DW. Nice downgrade! Anyway, the machines came back to the floor converted to four-gamers with bad tables, the best being 9-6 DDB on 50c/$1.
