Hard Rock International has completed the purchase of JACK Cincinnati Casino from JACK Entertainment LLC.

Owner JACK Entertainment, formerly known as Rock Gaming, has officially taken over operations of the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati from Caesars Entertainment. Casino name has been changed to JACK Cincinnati Casino.

Management has radically changed high limits video poker. There are no fully pay Jacks of Better. Instead, for high limits Jacks or Better, the management changed the pay tables for all $5, $10 and $25 machines to pay only 2,500 coins for a Royal Flush (98.88%) Similarly, management eliminated the NSU Deuces Wild pay tables. These machines now pay only 60 coins for 5 of a kind and 100 coins for a Royal with a deuce.(97.58) It is interesting that the other closest Harrah's casino in Southern Indiana has simultaneously radically reduced its video poker tables. It seems Harrah's is trying discourage serious video poker players from its casinos in this region.

Not the same experience we had; wife won a little in the high limit area, I came out close to even, playing $1 STP. Diamond lounge was fine, non smoking to boot. Put us up at a nice, older hotel downtown. Follow-on offers very generous considering our volume was not high ($3K coin in). I suspect the previous review

Hi: I am retired and do not have a large bankroll but love to play video poker. At Horseshoe the only 25 cent machine (1.25 per hand) are terrible 7/5 machines. However, I liked the way the machines played and played them 7 different times during June spending an average of about $200 (cash and free slot play) per session. I actually hit three (3) Royal Flush jackpots two on regular 4000 coin and one progressive for $1230.30. Only play Jacks or Better. Only 9/6 jack or better I found was $1 machine and now it is a $2 machine.

Casino does give discretionary comps. Ask host for comp and it does not come from your comp balance. Diamond lounge now serves free food from a menu. Menu varies but can include shrimp cocktail, wraps, vegetable plate, mini burgers etc. Drinks are a little cheaper in lounge (typically a dollar)

Casino is set to open on March 4th. License has been granted.
