I have lived here for over 25 years. It has never been as bad for video poker at Tampa Hard Rock as it is now. They don't even give me free play anymore unless I play slots. This casino is poison for the video poker player. sq33756
With the rollout of the players club called Unity, Hard Rock has decided to make it even more difficult for players to earn comps, comp hotel nights and tier credits. Their Customer Service Department confirmed it now takes an additional 30% of play to earn one tier credit. Of course this is mentioned in any marketing material, I only found after my last visit, when I checked my account balance I earned 400 to 500 less tier credits that I have earned in my prior visits. I go there one a month for 3 nights, I keep going due being lucky on most visits playing video poker, they have added many new video porker machines, not full pay but not bad. rickwozniak
Seems that casino management has taken the hint from gamblers and added many new video poker machines, both single line and multi-play. All pay tables aren't great, at least there are many more machines to play. There are no bonus deuces machines and only four machines with Joker Poker. Tough to earn comp dollars and tier credits. With this being the only casino in the Tampa area they take full advantage of their monopoly. Hotel is as good as any in the US and restaurants are also very good. Council Oak Steakhouse is excellent. rickwozniak
Only thing I can say is they have added some video poker machines, nice shinny new ones. Two banks one on each side of the casino. Of course these, like all the others are not full pay. We go here since it is "only" 3 hour drive versus 5 to go to the ones on the East side of Florida around Miami and Fort Lauderdale. One reason we keep going back, for whatever reason, we have been pretty lucky playing there. Majority of play is on triple play DDB and DB, where we have had several Royals. There are 4 machines that have 5 of a kind Joker jackpot where I have had a few 5 of kind payouts. Players here love Keno, why I have no idea. Hotel and pool really nice. Restaurants are also very good. We are comped on our room, so at least that helps. rickwozniak
The Tribe's CEO James Allen and Gov. DeSantis have confirmed that the Hard Rock Tampa is the most profitable casino for management in the United States. The VP is terrible with no full pay offerings. The best available is the DDB described in the inventory on this site. The slot club is horrible. No one can play here profitably. Everyone should save their money, travel and play elsewhere. If you must play in Florida, consider driving to the Immokalee tribal casino where the pay tables on JOB are slightly better. I, personally, have given my last dollar to Tribal coffers. TRS
