Buffet is only open on the weekend. Breakfast: 7 am - noon Sat & Sun, $9.95, children 10 and under $7.95. Dinner: 4 pm - 9 pm Fri & Sat $11.95, children 10 and under $8.95. There are two separate rooms for Dotty's. One is near the bar and the second is to the left of hotel registration and has views of the river.

The buffet was closed for remodel. Not sure when it will reopen. Denny's on the lower level is open 24/7. There is a no smoking section to the left of hotel registration. Nothing worth playing in the main casino section. There were no actual table games, only the electronic versions. The old River Palms bingo room is labelled "Dotty's" and has some playable games at $1. This is also where the self serve snacks are available. The self serve soft drinks are in the main section.

The casino is now open, Nov 1, but there isn't information on machines yet.

Just some general notes. I got my slot new slot card. It is good here and at all Dotty's "casinos" in Vegas. There was a Dotty's representative supervising a couple of holdover employees. There was no club brochure describing benefits. No one knew what the points earned were worth. Presently points earned can receive cash back or merchandise. No food comps. I wandered through the casino. I didn't see anything decent for quarter players. I did see a few JOB 6-9 and NSUD (99.73) games for dollar and up players. They also had some "different" machines. They will make all the holds for you. Cards of the day. Certain 4 of a kinds get you a spin of a bonus wheel. All payoffs are in money not credits. Higher amounts wagered paid give you a higher payback. It looked like dollar and up players are supposed to receive 99% payback.

The Dotty's slot club base rate is 0.1 cash back. They give 1.5X points at all times for video poker which works out to 0.15%. The exceptions are 6 AM to noon for players 50+ and midnight to 6 AM for everyone when video poker is 2X or 0.2%. All Dotty's have NSUD as the best paytable with many games in the 99%+ range but only at $1+ denomination.

DOTTY's as owner (but called the Laughlin River Lodge Casino) - didn't have anything playable for .25c and less imho - and multi denom games from .01-.02-.05-.10-.25 each had DIFFERENT games for each denom - so took me a while to check most of them. Only the 'deuces-joker' wild games might have been close to 'fullpay'....most games were not. Also - be careful, as most of these denoms were also set as '1-100' coin bet machines, so if you were to hit 'max bet'....well, your buyin might be used up on 1 play! sampling of games I saw: USA poker 7-7-7 instead of 8-8-8, and probably short on sf also. Pick-A-Pair only pays 20 vs 25 on the crucial 3K hand, and 4k 500 vs 600, SF 1000 vs 1200, and RF was not 10000. BP 9-6-4-2-2-1 or 10-6-4-2-2-1 .10c/.05c and lower; .25c was probably 7/5 BP at best, but I also saw 6/5 (perhaps Ace$ bonus?). 9-6-4 DB, 8-5-4 ddb, you get the idea. Even some new manufactured games list their returns for different games as 95%-98% at best. Promos - There are a few bulletin boards posting a monthly calendar and different daily promotions; These are also in the boutique casinos and near the slot club booth (as well as a self-serve soft drink machine in that area that would have led to Subways; Much of the open area with balcony, and 2 main escalators going down are 'blocked off' - future renovation project.

Nevada Restaurant Services has purchased the River Palms from Tropicana Entertainment. New name is Laughlin River Lodge. Casino is currently closed for remodeling but is scheduled to reopen November 1, 2014.

The only 8/5 bonus I could find played a flat rate for all quads.

All of the 8/5 Bonus Poker has been downgraded. 5 cent and 10 cent are now 96.87% 1-2-3-4-5-6-25-40-80-50-800 25 cent and up are either 98.48% 1-2-3-4-5-8-30-30-30-50-800 or 98.01% 1-2-3-4-5-7-25-40-80-50-800

There are several upright and slant top machines scattered around the casino in the 5¢ and 10¢ denomination with games labeled "Bonus Poker" that are actually 98.45% JOB (1-2-3-4-5-8-30-50-800). These seem to be the best choice left for nickel and dime players.

A close friend of mine said there was a Deuces Wild game in the River Palms that pays: 1,2,3,4,4,9,15,25,200,800 which yields an EV of 98.91%

That upstairs bar area still had the Bonus 8/5 Spin Pokers as of Saturday. The COD September promo is kiosk driven one for 100 coins. You get a random rank. RP will not honor it on progressives, like in the bartops. I didn't find anything better than 98.5% in my random search to add. There is plenty of Bogus Bonus 8/5-30 and Joker 17/7-4700.

I just left Laughlin and can verify that both Trop and River Palms have pulled their 100% machines.

On the lower level, at the south end, are six 25 cent upright Tito Game Kings with the following games: 1) 9/6 Jacks or better with 90 to 1 for a straight flush 2) Double Double Bonus 3) Full Pay Joker Poker with 5 machines showing a 4000 royal with 5 coins bet and one machine with 4700 for the royal 4) USA Poker (full pay All American) 5) Full Pay Deuces Wild Points accrue at the rate of one point for $300 of play. I do not know the rate for comp but assume that it is something equally pathetic.

At River Palms 7/22-24. MIA 9/6 Bdlx, MIA DW44, MIA all 9/5 WHA, MIA 50c JoB/BP/DDB; MIA 5c DW44/DB/DDB, MIA $1 BP/DDB. Also MIA was the Subway Restaurant! Only FP left are the (4) $1,$2 BP in High Limit area where Subway used to be; (4) AllStar 25c 3/5/10 Play and 1-9 Spin 8/5BP, 9/7DB, 9/6DDB in High Limit; and (6) 25c 8/5BP, 9/7DB, 9/6DDB upstairs in s/e most island. There are 25c and $1 8/5 WHA available in various locations upstairs.
