The rate to redeem points for food is now 1000 points per dollar. Previously the rate was 600 points per dollar, a 40% discount.

As of May 25, the five $0.25 progressive machines were still in place on the 3rd floor far right wall.
Previous comments indicated that these machines had been removed, but they are still there. The progressive amount reached about $1900 before it was won.

There are Super Times Pay, wheel and All Star VP (all slant tops) though only with below 99% pay tables. I didn't see any Multi Strike.

On the second deck next to the $1 machines are some 100 play and 50 play machines. These machines at as low as 5 cents play appear to provide better or equal pay tables to those on the third floor, some as good as the (dueces wild) as the $1 machines in the same area.
The point is if you play the 50/100 plays awith the option of one hand with 5 plays you get very good pay tables (better than average for Shrevport and Bossier City area) for only 5 or 25 cents per hand, also providing the 4000 pay off for a royal flush. You also get 1 point per 1$ spent on your card.
JOB - on 50 play 5cents provided 9/5 payback.
DW44 provided SF 15, 5K 10 if I recall.

Sam's has put four New MG VP machines back in the same spot where they took out the four old $5 JB games on the second deck, that would be toward the bow on the starboard side. As far as i could tell they have only one (all $5 machines) that has 9/6 Jacks as well as other games. The other three were of a lower paytable?

Trip over Super Bowl weekend- Noticed Sam's has removed the 4 $5 Jacks games on the forward part of deck 2. The old games with the RF at 3125 coins. I did an extensive search of all games and found nothing worth playing except $.25 pick -em. And that isn't saying much. Most Jacks were 8/5, although i did find some some 6/5 also. Found the following to be the norm: D. Wilds -25/15/9; Bonus poker - 7/5; D. Bonus - 9/6; D.D. Bonus - 9/6 and 25 cent Joker Poker @ 400/200/100/50/17/7/5/3/2/1 All the $5 games are as bad as the others. Turned in comment card complaining about thier poor vp and stating we will most likely not be playing there anymore! Did notice a sign that said that Elite members get Double points every day. Haven't evalued the half of one percent cash with these games but, figure that it won't be enough to make them playable.

We haven't been there in over a year, but if all the machines are exactly the same, then Sam's town will still have two progressives in an alcove on the lower level. There were 8 quarter machines on one progressive and 8 fifty cent machines on the other. The meters were fairly fast (1%) and they often went positive. The machines had DDB, BP, JOB--the only paytable I am sure of is the 15/9 Ugly Ducks. We played these when they were positive, otherwise we played Pick'em which is also on the lower level on the opposite side of the boat.

Sam's Town Shreveport, unless something has changed since I've been there last, is just like reported. Pick-em is the only full pay vp there. There are 4 old $5, 9/6 JB's, but the RF is only 3125 coins. There are a lot of vp games, but they haven't changed since Harrah's gutted them just before the sale, I think they planed it that way. You may find some 9/7 DB I can't be sure?

Sam's Town is in the process of changing out a bunch of slot machines, will they improve their VP paytables?? Sam's Town has .25 PE at this time along with the same unplayable inventory inherited from Harrahs.
