Bad news: Spirit Mtn is remodeling the back room in the Sports Book area and replacing machines with Top Golf simulators. That area used to have 26 of their best VP machines including a bank of 25c progressive JoB machines. Now the only VP in the Sports Book area is one bank of 4-5 Game King multigames. I can't really see Golf Simulators being a popular attraction with the Spirit Mountain crowd - but we will see. Most of the pay tables are still available (except for the bank of 25c JoB progressive machines) - there are just a lot less machines available now. They are clearly looking to replace all their old machines with the Game King multigames that offer many games including 8/5 JoB at 25c, and 9/5 JoB and 7/5 BP at $1. Clearly a VP downgrade casino wide :( pdx

Very little has changed since my last report on 3/2022. There are 69 VP machines offering JoB, BP, DBP, DDBP, DW, JP, TDB, DWB at denominations of 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c, and $1. Here are some highlights: The best games are 9/6 Double Double Bonus (98.98%), and Illinois Deuces Wild (98.91%). 9/5 JoB (98.45%) and 30-8-5 Bonus Poker (98.48%) are available all the way down to 5c. There is one progressive bank (6 machines) offering 8/5 JoB at 25c. There is one bank (4 machines) of Ultimate X Poker. The highest denomination on any machine is $1 and there are no VP machines in the high limit room. pdx

I visited Spirit Mountain Casino (Grand Ronde, OR) on 3/24/2022. This is a non-smoking casino. The info listed on vpFREE2 is many years out-of-date, so I don't much value in listing machines as New or MIA. I found 68 total video poker machines in the following areas. Sports book: 24 Outside North Bar: 33 North Bar: 10 (bar tops) Outside Rapid Riches: 1 High Limit Room: 0 Rapid Riches room: 0 Blue Room: 0 Most machines were Game King, except the 10 bar tops in the North Bar, and a bank of 4 Ultimate X Poker outside of the North Bar. There were many options for all denominations from 5c - $1. In fact, the most surprising thing about this casino is that the pay tables change very little (if at all) from 5c to $1. In other words, it is a great place to play low limit VP. The casino moved all 10 of the 9/6 Video Poker machines to a back wall in The Peek. The other Video poker machines that are scattered around are all 9/5 or 8/5 payouts for JoB. The Video Poker machines that paid the best where constantly busy and you had to wait a while to get a machine. If you eat there, don't go to the cafe, go to the buffet. mvetanen
